Fostering Our Future
Fostering Our Future (FOF) is a community-based, church-led, non-profit partnership designed to increase the number of high-quality foster families while safely reducing the number of children who enter foster care. Through its 100 Churches initiative, FOF mobilizes, organizes and equips local churches to care for vulnerable foster children helping them to recruit, train, and support the foster families within their congregation.
For Kalon Creative, I designed a responsive web platform to allow family advocates, who come alongside families to support them and help with the goal of reunification or other positive outcomes for foster children, to register, track, and support foster families and provide reporting for churches and Fostering Our Future.

Churches
Fostering Our Future can add and manage churches within their database. Each church will have their own portal where they can manage their family advocates and foster families.
Family advocates
Family advocates come alongside families to support them and help with the goal of reunification or other positive outcomes for foster children. Family advocates can login to their church’s portal and view and manage the families assigned to them.
They get sent reminders about important activities like upcoming court dates, children’s birthdays, license renewals and when follow ups with the families are due. They have a record of all activities that have been undertaken to support the family which include home visits, court visit support and medical support and can also track any alleged abuse of a child, whether substantiated or not for investigations.
Families
There are various types of families that support children and other families. Families are assigned to a family advocate who is connected with a church to come alongside and support them.
Children
Children are registered with a family and the family advocate helps support the family in caring for the child and coordinating with the state mandated requirements. Basic information about the children will be collected, but to protect their identities full names of children are not collected.
